Plum Deluxe Tea Review

Plum Deluxe Tea

Hello my lovelies! I hope you are having a wonderful evening! I know that I am! I am healing quite nicely from my surgery last week! Yay! It has been aided by the amazing teas from Plum Deluxe Tea. They reached out to me a little while ago and asked if I would love to try some tea! How could I say no?!?! That fact is, I didn’t! Let’s dive into some of these amazing teas that they sent to me!

IMG_5292

Porch Sippin’ Pecan Black Tea
Retail: $7

This tea is EXACTLY what the name of it invokes! I CANNOT get enough of the black tea with cinnamon chips, pecan pieces, pecan essence, and safflower. The smell is intoxicating!

IMG_5293

Not only was the smell intoxicating but the taste was to die for. This is a type of tea that you can have with or without sweetener. As you all know, I am a huge believer in getting honey from your local beekeepers. This was a perfect mixture! It will be even more amazing come autumn!

IMG_5297

Blackberry Mojito Black Tea
Retail: $7

This tea has a mixture of black tea, spearmint, blackberries, hazelnut pieces, blackberry leaves, lime essence, maple extract, and love! This one does have caffeine in it. This is the perfect “WAKE ME UP” tea. If you like coffee and the kick it gives you in the morning, I would try this one out.

IMG_5298

I loved what they said on the website, it fit this tea perfectly! “Inspired by the cocktail of the same name, our blackberry mojito tea will add some pizzazz to your tea time.  The hallmarks of a refreshing mojito are lime and spearmint, which we added a few blackberries and also a splash of maple (mojitos generally have powdered sugar – we thought this was a lovely substitute).   It’s sweet and refreshing without being overly so.  Great iced and great shared with friends.”

Spice of Life Hot Cinnamon Black Tea

I’m not going to lie, this has to be my favorite tea that they sent me. I have a weakness for cinnamon tea. This one is perfect! It is the PERFECT tea to help clear your sinuses and wake you up in the morning. It does have caffeine. I love that it has black tea, cinnamon chips, cloves, and orange peel. Anything with citrus is wonderful!

IMG_5295

Simple Loose Leaf Tea| December 2018

1

The Simple Loose Leaf Tea Company is one of the best and affordable tea subscription boxes! They normally send you 4 different teas, 2 with caffeine, and 2 without. This is perfect for the next cold night that you want tea but you’re close to your bedtime and you are wanting something that wont keep you up too long. Another aspect of this Classic Tea Box is the fact that they send you 4 reusable linen tea bags every month!

From Simple Loose Leaf Company:

“Each month you’ll get a box filled with teas ranging from classically savory to enjoyably trendy, you’ll get terrific, members’ only discounts for our tea shop, and you’ll get everything you need to make that perfect cup of tea.”

What You’ll Get:

  • Four hand packaged loose leaf teas
  • 40g of tea in resealable pouches
  • A black tea, a green tea, an herbal tea and more
  • Reusable organic linen tea filters

For only $9 a month! That is a steal!

So without further ado, let’s get into December’s Tea Box!

2

Hathikuli Black
Retail: $6.00

One of the BEST details that Simple Loose Leaf Tea Company does is give you a wonderfully detailed pouch with each of the different teas inside. They also give you the linen pouch that you can use for the different teas. This makes it a lot easier to keep the teas separated and make sure that your tea is going into the same bag every time.

The Hathikuli Black tea is part of one of Assam’s most prominent organic tea plantations. This tea has a distinct sweet maltiness that reminds me of honey and dates. I have a weakness for black tea and this one did not disappoint!

3

Japanese Kukicha
Retail: $17.00

I love the colors of the tea that this company sends. One could say that you eat and drink with your eyes. When I look at the vibrant colors of the tea, smell the intoxicating aromas, and then taste it, it is a whole experience.

The Japanese Kukicha is a blend of stems, stalks, and twigs of the tea-plant. One thing that I love about the Japanese culture is the fact that they use ALL of the plant or animal that they eat. This is something that I try to pride myself on as well.

This tea is a mix between a gyokuro green tea and a sencha green tea. It can also be steep several times which is amazing!

4

Midnight Herbal
Retail: $8.00

When I talked about how beautiful these teas are Midnight Herbal is the PERFECT example. This picture might not give it justice but it has Blue Lavender flowers, rose, and lemon grass. This is such a unique cuppa tea and I am so happy that they included it this month.

This is tea is an herbal tea in the truest sense of the word. If you need to sweeten it up, as I did, try a bit of raw honey from your region!

5

Fujian Oolong
Retail: $6.00

Oolong is a traditional Chinese tea produced through a process of withering the plant under a strong sun. The plant tends to curl up into a rolled leaf style. This is one of my favorite styles of tea. I love the woody aroma of the tea but it also has a slight sweetness in it as well. The more you steep this tea the better it tastes!

This has been another lovely tea box! I love the new design to the box as well. It made me smile the moment I retrieved it from my mailbox. You really couldn’t get a better tea box for the price of $9.00 a month. I high recommend you try it out!

Happy drinking!

So without further ado, let’s get into November’s Tea Box!

IMG_3742

White Monkey
Retail: $13.00

Something that I am really loving with Simple Loose Leaf Tea company is that their inner pamphlet keeps getting better and better with more information on the tea, the growing seasons, how it is made, and the different flavors that one will taste with them. You can really tell that the company loves what they are doing.

White Monkey is a full-bodied green tea that has a curled leaf structure. This tea is from China and it has a really light and sweet aroma. When tasting it I noticed that it had a hint of peach in the taste. As always I add a little bit of natural organic honey made in Oklahoma to help sweeten it a bit.

IMG_3744

Yunnan 1st Grade
Retail: $7.00

Some of my most favorite teas are black teas and Yunnan is one of the best. It is from China’s Yunnan province. It has a slight chocolate flavor with hints of honey. Accentuated with my natural honey that I add to every cuppa. This tea is known as an everyday tea and is in the 1st grade which makes it a high-ranking tea.

IMG_3745

Apple Cinnamon Herbal
Retail: $8.00

This probably had to be my favorite tea out of this month’s box. The aroma put me at ease and the taste was mind-blowing. I have a huge weakness for apple and cinnamon and when you put it with tea it jus takes it to another level!

This is a perfect tea for waking up on a cold morning, wrapping yourself in a blanket, sitting next to the window, and opening up your favorite book or maybe even writing in your journal. This tea primarily uses a cinnamon chip paired with South African rooibos leaves. I highly recommend this tea!

IMG_3746

Pumpkin Spice Herbal
Retail: $7.00

This tea is basically Autumn in a Cup. It is perfect for the month of November. Pumpkin Month. It is seriously Thanksgiving in a Mug! The Pumpkin Spice Herbal tea uses a South African rooibos base that adds a sweetness to the classic Pumpkin Spice flavor! I really enjoyed this tea! The color was wonderful and it really made me feel cozy!

This has been another lovely tea box! I love the new design to the box as well. It made me smile the moment I retrieved it from my mailbox. You really couldn’t get a better tea box for the price of $9.00 a month. I high recommend you try it out!

Review|Simple Loose Leaf Tea Company

I was graciously sent this TEA-licious box of Classic Tea by Simple Loose Leaf. Ya get it?! Ya get it?! Oh, my goodness! This tea is absolutely mouthwatering. They have something for everyone! From white tea, green tea, and black tea.

From Simple Loose Leaf Company:

“Each month you’ll get a box filled with teas ranging from classically savory to enjoyably trendy, you’ll get terrific, members’ only discounts for our tea shop, and you’ll get everything you need to make that perfect cup of tea.”

What You’ll Get:

  • Four hand packaged loose leaf teas
  • 40g of tea in resealable pouches
  • A black tea, a green tea, an herbal tea and more
  • Reusable organic linen tea filters

IMG_1467.jpg
In this month’s box I received:

  • White Tipped   Oolong
  • Lily Yin Hao
  • Tropical Black
  • Green Berry Delight

One of the many things that I love about this company is the fact that they also send you organic linen tea bags! It makes steeping your tea easy, quick, and safe for the environment.

They have two different types of plans they are both $9.00 a month! How cost friendly is that?! There is something for everyone!

The Classic Tea Box is what I was sent: “By joining the Classic Tea Box you’re joining a tea club that explores 4 unique teas a month. You’ll find a perfect mix of “wake me up” teas and teas that help “slow the day down” – Black tea, Green tea, Oolong, Pu’erh, Herbal, and so much more.”

The second box is the Decaf Tea Box: “When you join the Decaf Tea Box you’re joining a tea club that explores 4 amazing tea options that won’t keep you up at night. You’ll be brewing herbal blends, wellness blends, tisane teas – All chosen to highlight the season you’re in right now.”

IMG_1550The White Tipped Oolong Tea was the first of the four teas that I had in the box. I let it steep while I toasted an English Muffin with Organic Peanut Butter.

It was the perfect pair together. I am a huge fan of Oolong tea. It was an incredibly smooth drink with a little bit of Organic honey to sweeten it a bit. Something that is unique with Oolong tea is the fact that the longer that you steep it the more the taste evolves.

Another aspect of this box that I love is that they always send you a small pamphlet that tells you everything that you need to know about the different teas that they have sent you. How to brew it, what temperature to brew it at, and more tidbits that make it a more unique box subscription that sets it out from the rest of the tea companies.

IMG_1551The Green Berry Delight is exactly as its name states, an utter delight! I don’t know what it was about this tea, but it reminds me of my childhood. It makes me smile. It was a perfect cuppa for right before bed due to the fact that it doesn’t have caffeine!

If you love fruity teas, candy, or anything berry like, this is the tea for you! It’s smell is intoxicating and utterly satisfying.

It has so many different wholesome ingredients I can’t even identify them. I love that it has elements of some of my favorite things! Raspberries are my favorite fruits and it has hints of them, acai berries, and even rhubarb pieces.

I love the hints of blue flowers, red/black currants as well. It give the most amazing pop in the tea. That’s why I paired it with the blue flowers in the pictures.

IMG_1552If you love tropical drinks or pina coladas you will love this tea. It has a very strong aroma that reminded me of going on a cruise and spending time on the beach.

There are so many ingredients in this tea starting from Assam black tea, safflowers, pineapple, coconut, lemon, and ginger. This is a cocktail of different flavors.

It has a normal caffeine level and was made in India!

IMG_1560Lily Yin Hao was such a beautiful tea! I brewed it in the morning right before leaving for a weekend trip and it had the perfect amount of caffeine to jump start my day.

Of course it paired nicely with my English Muffin and peanut butter, as well as a little honey to help sweeten it.

I also loved taking pictures of this stunning tea with the orange lily blossoms  in it! I had to use my own orange flowers to make it pop!

Go check them out! Your taste buds won’t regret it!

XOXO

Nevaeh Tea Company Monthly Box

I was graciously sent this amazing set of tea to review from Neveah Tea and I have enjoyed every single steep and sip. Below are my thoughts on this company and the four teas that they sent me.

IMG_1496.JPG

They have a current promotion going on right now if your mouth starts drooling as much as mine while typing this review! The first month free if you pay $12.67 CAD for shipping. Use the code, TRYFORFREE at checkout!
A little about Neveah Tea Company, they have all of their teas sourced ethically. They are also partners with “One Tree Planted”! Which means for every pound of tea they sell they will donate enough to plant one tree! How wonderful!

IMG_1493Coconut Green Tea. The smell smelled heavenly, pun intended. The aroma of coconut was intoxicating. I thought that it might  be overwhelming but it was extremely peaceful and calming in drinking it, even with the high caffeine content.

I made sure to let it steep 6 minutes as suggested and it was well worth the wait. Always follow the brewing/steeping instructions that you are given. If you don’t the tea might become too weak or bitter in longer steeping. 6 minutes was just perfect.

Adding a little bit of organic honey was wonderful, though I will say that this tea would be wonderful without any sweetener at all. The coconut gives the tea a little sweetness in and of itself.

IMG_1491Organic Starbust Black Tea. This is a wonderful tea to have in the morning due to it’s high caffeine content. I recently stopped drinking coffee and to be honest, I haven’t missed it at all.

I honestly have always loved black tea from the time I was a child. I was so excited to get a black tea in this month’s box with strawberries! If you don’t like strawberries I will let you know that it isn’t over powering. The taste of strawberries leave a little bit of a lasting taste right at the end of a sip.

This is probably one of my favorite teas in this month’s box. I am loving adding a little bit of organic honey to the mix, but this tea would still be wonderful without it. I can also see myself making this as an ice tea for the summer months. It really does burst in your mouth with flavor and it is wonderful!

IMG_1492This is a WONDERFUL organic herbal tea! This is a perfect tea to have right before bed with it being caffeine free. I LOVE the hints of strawberry throughout the tea. It isn’t too powerful of a flavor for those who aren’t fans of strawberry.

The smell of this tea instantly calms me down. It smells like a spa day. I start daydreaming about going to the spa, herbal tea in hand, while getting an organic facial. Anyone else get those flashes when smelling something so tranquil?!

I know that anytime I am craving tea but I don’t need to want the caffeine that I will be grabbing for this tea. It has been an absolutely wonderful tea to drink!

IMG_1494I’m not going to fib, I was hesitant of this tea. I am not the biggest fan of licorice, especially black licorice. I loves that comment that they made on the tea bag:

“We took a chance with this one. Some love it, some hate it. Which one are you?”

This is the second caffeine free tea that they put in this month’s subscription, which is always nice to have. A mixture of both.
As for my thoughts on this tea, if you LOVE licorice then this is the tea for you! I will say that it doesn’t have as strong of a licorice taste as the smell. I really did enjoy it more than I thought I was going to. I’m not saying that this is an everyday tea for me, but I really did like it!

Nevaeh’s Tea Company has two different plans for their monthly tea club:

Explore Pack: $6.97 CAD for 4 Teas that are enough to make 8-9 cups of tea.

Monthly Tea Club: $24.00 CAD for 4 teas that will be enough to make 30-34 cups.

Each month their members receive 4 different packs of tea no matter the plan you get! You can pause, stop, resume, and cancel anytime with NO COMMITMENTS!

Go check them out! Your taste buds won’t regret it!

XOXO
