So without further ado, let’s get into September’s Tea Box!

IMG_2831

Karakundah Black Tea

Rhis tea is perfect when it comes to a cooler night. I always sweeten my tea with a little big of natural honey from Oklahoma to help with allergies and whatnot. This tea is found in the Nilgiri region of India. The ingredients are Organic Korakundah Black Orange Pekeo Tea.

IMG_2832

Northern Garden

This is one of the most beautiful teas I have seen! I love how the pearls open up when the tea is steeping. It is extremely relaxing to watch! This tea has a base of Ti Kwan Yin oolong tea. To jazz it up they have added a mouth watering amount of berries. You all know how much I LOVE berry tea! It is my weakness.

This tea can be sipped cold or hot. I would recommend using a little bit of honey or natural sugar to liven up the sweetness of the berries.

IMG_2833

Pan Fried Green

Sometimes you just need a tea that doesn’t have any overwhelming flavors. You need something that is Simply Tea. This is the perfect green tea for those days. It is traditional and soothing to sip on the back porch while reading an amazing book!

IMG_2834

Evening Herbal

This tea smelled like heaven to me. The subtle scents of peppermint, ginger, and lemon brought a sense of calm to a hectic day. These are three of my most favorite scents ever. The peppermint will open up your senses while the ginger will relax your tense body, and the lemon will awaken your mind and make the day feel brand new!

This tea is best brewed hot to get the full effects of the three main ingredients. I love it so much! It is my favorite tea in the whole box!

I hope you all enjoyed reading about the September’s Simple Loose Leaf Tea box! I highly recommend that you pick this up! They have so many different types of subscriptions that you can do! Monthly, Quarterly.

Review| My Ireland Box

Beginning

One of the most beautiful places that I have ever been is Ireland. I have family in Ireland, which isn’t too shocking since my last name is McFarland, eh? When I was reached out to by them amazing people at AYOB about reviewing this particular box I was extremely excited. I felt as though the week I spent in Ireland wasn’t enough! I needed to learn more about the country that my ancestors came from! And learn I did!

From their site:

“Every month, a themed MyIrelandBox delivers to the USA, Canada and Australia, the best in Irish Design, Accessories, Home, Natural Beauty, Irish Music, Jewelry, Apparel, Irish culture & tradition galore from Ireland, to your doorstep. MyIrelandBoxes include full-sized Irish made surprises that are expertly curated by Katharine & her team from Dingle Co. Kerry Ireland, in the heart of Irish tradition and culture.” $45 per box + $10.50 Shipping

BookIn this month’s box we were following the history of The Blasket Islands! They are indeed magical!

The book we received is Fiche Bliain as Fas or Twenty Years A-Growing. It was written originally in the Gaelic Irish language in 1953.

This book is full of stories from Maurice O’Sullivan that he heard while growing up, proverbs, folk-tales, and the story of his life!
DirtSomething else that I loved about this box was the Real Irish Turf that I was sent by Bog Buddies!

This is supposed to be lit and it will create the aroma of a real turf fire! Turf was extremely important to the Islanders and they only had a seasons supply at a time to keep them warm throughout the season. They used it for heat, cooking, and for light!

It really did smell like Ireland to me! Made my heart wish I was there!

MusicOne of the MANY things that had me falling in love with Ireland was the music. We went into a couple of pubs in Dublin and I loved the live music that was playing throughout.

It felt as though it was touching my soul. Something that had me swaying and loving every moment of it!

Another thing that I loved is that they included a Tin whistle by Feadog! The Original Tin Whistle and also gave us a Youtube channel that will give Irish Tin Whistle Lessons! How thoughtful is that?!

And last but certainly not least were the pamphlets and the booklet that told us all about the Na Blascaodai or The Blaskets by Padraig Ua Maoileoin. It has a wonderful recount of the history in The Blaskets and is a calming read.

If you love Ireland or know someone who appreciates the history of the Irish. I would recommend this box!

Until next time…

XOXO

One of the first items that I spotted in the Summer Box were these stunning sunglasses made by Oceanista themselves! They are made from sustainable wood, are bouyant, and UV 400 with Polarized protection.

They are so light weight and they really have the perfect shielding on them! I love the beautifully made holder for the sunglasses and the soft protective bag that makes it perfect to toss these into my purse! The retail value on these sunglasses is $69.99 almost the cost of the box!

IMG_2063 2Now, who can have a great day at the lake, beach, or by the pool without a handy tote bag!?! Not me. I need something to hold my towels, snacks, water, and a good book!

IMG_2064 2One of the things that I get most worried about with extended sun exposer is getting a sunburn on my face! Even with sunblock on the rays from the Sun can hurt your skin and cause damage! Ouch!

I love that they sent us this portable, easily travel, sunhat by San Diego Hat Company ! It makes it so easy to just throw in a tote and be on the go.

It has UPF 50+ protection against harmful UB rays and it is adjustable for all! Retails at $28.

IMG_2068 2

IMG_2072One of the many things that I love about Oceanista is the fact that they feature a local artisan in every one of their boxes!

Supporting small businesses is something that is near and dear to my heart! It helps that the artist for this season’s box make me smile and relaxed just looking at her art!

I am talked about WanderLust Leather! This luggage tag just screams SUMMER! Plus they sent a coupon that allows you to contact Jamie to create a custom name tag to go with your summer one! How awesome is that!?! The retail value for this wonderful and customized gift is $28.97! You should most definitely check out her shop!

Another item, not pictured, is the wonderful Cheri Arome Beach Waves Pink Salt Hair Mist! It really does smell like summer! It gives you the PERFECT beachy hair waves! It is extremely affordable at only $12.

IMG_2071 2Last but certainly not least is a little gift just for you! A stunning and perfectly created Oceanista sticker that you can just smell the salt in the air with, a magnet for your fridge, and a wonderful moisturizing body balm!

This is truly a Treat-Yo-Self type of box. So what are you waiting for?!?! Treat-Yo-Self and go out and get yourself a subscription to this amazing service!

This box came at the perfect time! Here in Oklahoma it has been a pretty brutal summer! You get a sun burn just walking out to get the mail! Ok…maybe not THAT extreme, but it has still be very hot!

It has this adorable Beach logo pocket at the front which would fit a cell phone or tablet wonderfully!

There isn’t anything that I don’t love about this tote bag! It has leather handles and even a spot to attach your water bottle!

Last, but certainly not least are these handy Tossware cups! I love that they sent us a whole set of four!

They are so versatile as well! They come with lids that you can put a straw through! Perfect for having some drinks on the boat and not wanting to spill your favorite drink! I put lemonade in mine and it was scrumptious!

They are also perfect for snacks like cheeze-its or a fruit parfait!

Seriously, these cups can be used for so many different things that the lists are endless!

I have already used these a couple of times around the house and you can be sure that at the next party I have I’ll be using them for my guests!
